The merger of Weckenmann with the precast division of Construx creates a powerful company with two strong brands which will optimally utilise the assets of both parties. Construx Weckenmann forms a team of 340 employees, spread over 9 locations in Europe, and with a total of 52,000m² of production and storage facilities. Integrating the sales and engineering departments and optimizing the various production entities will ensure Construx Weckenmann to be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving global market: “As a partner to our customers we want to offer added value, to build the precast industry of the future together.”

On August 30th, 2023, Wolfgang and Hermann Weckenmann agreed with Anthony Jannes and Ward Demyttenaere on the main terms of the 100% takeover of Weckenmann by Construx. The acquisition will be finalized in the coming weeks. With the takeover of the German company Weckenmann, the Belgian company Construx becomes a global reference in formwork, machines and installations for prefabricated concrete elements.

Construction methods and materials of tomorrow – this year's key theme of Bauma in Munich reflects like hardly anything else the dynamics at Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG: In addition to a wide variety of new developments, there have also recently been changes in the management team: Hermann Weckenmann retired; Wolfgang Weckenmann and Martin Schatz are now directing the company's fortunes as a dual leader and with Greta Weckenmann the company has entered the third generation. All that supports and ensures the sustainable orientation of the traditional company, which presents itself at this year's BAUMA in its 65th year of existence as a strong partner for the development and realisation of new building concepts.

Paul Weckenmann started a blacksmith's workshop with his wife Elfriede on 1 January 1957. Over the past 60 years that has grown into a machine and plant manufacturer with 155 employees who, with dogged innovative force, ensure that Weckenmann plants enjoy a high reputation all over the world. The 9 students and their tutor from the CAS (Center for Advanced Studies) Hochschule in Heilbronn undertook a field trip to India from 20 May to 3 June.

Uy Kurylys has been producing precast concrete parts such as slabs, sandwich panels, interior walls, lift shaft elements and staircases on their circulation system in the city of Aktobe in West Kazakhstan since the middle of 2016.

Dietmar Kiene is the new sales manager of Weckenmann Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The 49-year old has been responsible for all the sales activities of the plant manufacturer since 1 March 2016.

This year’s bauma broke every record. Well over 530,000 visitors from 200 countries descended on the Munich Trade Fair Centre from 15 to 21 April. The textile company the Chennai Silks (TCS), which is based in the South Indian city of Coimbatore, has been producing and selling textiles and articles of clothing with great success for around 50 years. What began in the 1960s with a weaving mill and the sale of the goods in Tirupur and Madurai has developed into an internationally operative family-run company with 18,000 employees, a dense network of branches in India and the production of articles of clothing for renowned clothing companies worldwide.

Hermann Weckenmann has been elected the new Chairman of the specialist department 6 "stones, slabs, tubes, precast elements" of the professional association for construction machinery and building material machinery in the VDMA.

The construction of the sales and technology centre is on schedule. Into week 12 of the construction project, very good progress is being made and we are confident that we will be able to move into the new building in April 2012 as planned.

WECKENMANN protects formwork profiles before leaving the factory

For Melbourne Precast Concrete (MPC) in Melbourne, Australia, the past year 2010 was an important milestone in the young company’s history since its acquisition by Derek Finocchiaro and his partner Shane Evans five years ago.

In April and Mai 2011 a total of 17 co-workers from WECKENMANN Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Dormettingen recieved first aid training.
